  • ABS – Anti-lock Braking System – wheels will not lockup under emergency braking, but most importantly, D-Max retains its steer-ability to avoid a crash. 
  • TC & HSA – Incorporated with ABS are Traction Control (avoiding acceleration skidding) and Hill Start Assist that prevents rolling back when starting off on a steep incline
  • EBD – Electronic Brakeforce Distribution – is a technology always coupled with ABS that automatically varies the amount of force applied to each of a vehicle's brakes, based on road conditions, speed, loading, and traction
  • BAS – Brake Assist – a term for an automobile braking technology that increases braking pressure in an emergency.
